After we chose 3-5 species from your category to learn about & present to the class. Then Answer the question: Why do they matter? Create a slideshow with a single slide for each species to include the following info and Post and present your slides to the class. I would say communication skills. I was able to communicate effectively with my team for the presentation and the audience for different purposes, using oral, written, and nonverbal communication. I am most proud of the leadership role I took in this project. While picking the categories and topics I tried my best to keep everyone on task since we only had that day to make the slides and present. I communicated with both my team and the audience during this project. When talking with my team I used a different tone and non-verbal cues than when presenting in front of the class. It was most difficult to keep everyone on task and to all agree on a topic, I hadn’t been set on a topic however, some of my teammates were. Coming up with a solution that satisfies everyone was difficult. I could in the future try to work with others in my group more. After coming up with roles and topics we all worked separately which worked at the time, however, it might have been easier to work on the slides as a group. It would have made the presentation easier. This relates to what I learned about teamwork and communication in the past. I think what I learned about teamwork from my psychology classes and experience helped me out in this role I took in the project. In the future, I will try to remember the tactics I used and the problem-solving skills that helped me and others in my group figure out a common topic we all enjoyed presenting.
