Name of Assignment:Digital Journal Subject: Field Ecology Facilitator/Teacher:Ms. Cassie
Description of Work/Assignment: This is a digital version of the already physical copy of our Journals. We are taking pictures from the Digital Journal and placing them in google slides.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why? The 21st Century Skill I choose for this is Self-Directional Skills. This means I can demonstrate my ability to understand and monitor my own learning needs and to goal-set.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why? I think this assignment is fairly self-explanatory, it's a project that is continuous so it is not over. However, I’m proud of my ability to keep up with the post we make every week, as well as the neatness and effort I put into the slides.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment? Before I started this project I was intimidated by the idea of keeping up with the posts every week, but now, I’m fairly confident in my ability to stay on top of this task.
What was most difficult about completing this task? It was quite difficult to pick and choose what Journal entries I would submit. Writing the Journals can prove to be quite troubling as well at times.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do differently? If I could start over I might put a little less effort into the design and more into the Journals. Writing is very important, and when we began the project I was more worried about the timing and design.
How does this relate to what you have learned in the past? This is a bit similar to projects I've done in the past, writing things down and organizing/storing them in an online folder.
How can you apply this to future learning? I can apply this by taking what I learned about time management and organization. These are two important traits and I'm glad I’ve picked them up.
